Little about ORM
Slides :
Here are the slides that I "designed" with Canva : Read-only slides
To be fair, my love for minimalism and not-so-crowded slides made my slides look a little too plain :(
Setting :
It was a Saturday morning, the meeting took place at the ThoughtWorks office. Right before stepping out of home I googled a bit about ThoughtWorks and was surprised to learn, Martin Fowler works there (obviously not the Bangalore offices). We had a total of 4 talks :
- Feature talk by ThoughtWorks themselves: How they are using Rust in the Automotive industry.
- Mine: Patterns/Anti=Patterns of ORMs in Rust.
- Talk by Anirudh Rowjee (Who's a good friend of mine): How to build a Static Site generator - Saaru
- Mohamed Ayaan (Who's also a friend of mine): His story behind building Judson, A project cleaner.
Outcomes :
It was a fun enough day, this day, in my opinion, started with the journey of going to meets every Saturday. I feel it's important to be plugged into the developer community in a city like Bangalore. A lot of programmers I talk to on LinkedIn seem to recognise me as they have met me on these meetups before. It's a nice topic to connect through.
If you are getting out of college or are a passionate programmer, you should try to attend a few of these meetups as well.
that is for this blog. Adios.
